I worked with the Dutch National Summer School for several years filming their concerts. The third time they asked me back to film the performances and create a promo video I had a good sense of what the company was about. I pitched the idea of a promo video around the process of reaching professionalism – the goal of all the dancers.
The finished video is a mix of footage from workshops and staged scenes to bring the story together. It was my first major foray into directing a commercial project and I’m very happy with the result.
